Deepfake AI: New scam dangers and how to prevent them effectively

You receive a video call from a relative abroad, same voice, same face, but image slightly blurry and glitchy. They ask for urgent money transfer due to trouble. Wait! That could be a Deepfake AI product.

How does Deepfake work?

Scammers collect public images, videos, voices of victims on Facebook, TikTok. Then use AI tools to recreate faces and voices in real-time.

Signs to identify

  • Calls usually very short (under 1 minute).
  • Poor video quality, blurry, often using excuse "weak network".
  • Face less expressive, less blinking or unnatural mouth movement.
  • Request transfer to strange account.

Prevention

Ask personal questions only two people know, or call back using regular phone number to verify.

Bài viết rất hữu ích. Tôi đã từng gặp trường hợp tương tự khi đặt phòng ở Đà Lạt, may mà cảnh giác không chuyển cọc.
