Got a call from a "relative" urgently asking for money? With Deepfake, voices and images can be perfectly faked.
Step 1: Stop — Don't Transfer Immediately
Even if the voice sounds identical, say: "Let me call you back in 5 minutes." Scammers will try to prevent you from hanging up.
Step 2: Call Back Using Your Saved Contact
Use the phone number you've already saved (NOT the number that just called). Ask directly: "Did you just call asking for money?"
Step 3: Ask a Secret Question
Ask something only the real person would know: "What's our pet's name?", "When's mom's birthday?" — AI can't answer these.
Family Password
Create a "family password" — a secret word/phrase only family members know, for urgent identity verification.
