How to Verify a Charity
- Has government-issued establishment license
- Receiving account is in the organization's name (not personal)
- Publishes annual financial reports
- Has official website with clear contact info
Principle
Legitimate charities always have accounts in the organization's name. If asked to transfer to a personal account → be highly suspicious.
